Leadership in 2009 is definitely different to the style of leadership that existed up to the beginning of this millennium. While there's a great deal to learn from leaders in the past, there are new models of behaviour that today and tomorrow's leaders must display. This course has had a total redesign to accommodate the new leader.

On this course you will learn how to be a more successful communicator by first understanding yourself, then using simple processes, including DiSC's behavioural profiling, that makes you more effective as a leader. You will learn about Emotional Intelligence. There are a huge number with high IQs who are successful, but there is an equal number of people with an average IQ who are equally if not more successful. Emotional Intelligence allows you to deal with your own and other's emotions.

There's a great deal of talk about Systems Thinking. With a process designed by Ron Pollak Training, called an Infrastructure Audit, we help identify, in a practical and systematic fashion, 'the right things to do', which is a hallmark of leaders, rather than 'doing things right', a quality of managers.
